About us
The Civilian Protection Monitor is a joint project by Airwars and PAX. Our aim is to make detailed insights into the protection-related policies and performance of individual states available to civil society organisations, policymakers, military actors, and others. CPM provides civil society organisations and coalitions with a common vocabulary and system of measurement through which to press for a higher standard of protection and transparency. The Monitor also provides governments with an external benchmark with which to track their progress, evaluating their standing among peer countries and facilitating the adoption of best practices.
